SPORTS & LEISURE RESEARCH GROUP - The Intersection of insights and strategy
Golf scene

Greetings from SPORTS & LEISURE RESEARCH GROUP! Continuing an annual tradition, you're invited to join me as I present key findings and trends from brand new golfer research at the
2009 PGA Merchandise Show. We've just come out of the field with a new study that will reveal:
›  Consumer sentiment on planned golf participation and spending in 2009 vs. 2008
›  Golfer attitudes about the game, the economy and other cultural trends that will impact 2009 golf activity
›  Brand perceptions and anticipated demand across a number of product categories and retail channels.
›  Competitive forces, market trends and segmentation realities that will impact golf product marketing in the current and future environment.

The full program is scheduled from 11:00am--12:00 noon in Room W 225 at the Orange County Convention Center on Friday January 30, 2009. Also on the program agenda will be Jim Koppenhaver from Pellucid Corporation and Stuart Lindsay from Edgehill Consulting. An additional and optional Q & A session will immediately follow the program until 12:30pm.

Please RSVP directly to me no later than Jan. 26th for this session, by email and feel free to include other business colleagues that may benefit from the presentation.

Be sure to take a look at my two most recent "Presidential Perspectives" columns in the Marketing Research Association's Alert Magazine as well as a piece in the current issue of Research Business Report, where I offer predictions for the new year.
I will also be presenting the implications of these and other new findings on the women's golf market as the feature presentation at the annual EWGA Movers and Shakers networking breakfast. The session is also scheduled for Friday January 30, 2009 from 7:30-8:30am. Invitations and RSVPs are being handled directly by the EWGA.

I hope that you can join me for one or both of these presentations, in Orlando. In advance, you can find the latest news coverage and insight from Sports and Leisure Research Group at www.sportsandleisureresearch.com.

All of us at Sports and Leisure Research Group extend our best wishes for a prosperous new year.

Best Regards,

Jon Last
President

PS - Let's also set up some dedicated time at the show on Thursday or Friday, where I can share some more detailed findings of this new research, and discuss how Sports and Leisure Research Group can help you in 2009.
