Monthly AIF Research At A Glance

The timeshare industry continues to perform steadily amid a complex and uncertain macroeconomic environment. Sales trends from ARDA’s 2025 H2 Report show positive year-over-year growth in Q3, with only minor late-period softening in Q4.

The Vacation Ownership Sentiment Index, which measures month-over-month travel habits of 500 timeshare owners against 500 average U.S. travelers, is up year-over-year, reflecting sustained confidence among owners. Timeshare owners exhibit higher confidence and planning activity than general travelers, especially around road trips and attractions.

In general, consumers are feeling a bit uneasy about the economy—mostly due to high gas prices and geopolitical uncertainty — but are still planning to travel this summer.

The way consumers travel, however, is changing. Travelers are waiting longer to book trips, paying closer attention to safety and possible disruptions, using AI tools to help plan, and looking for trips that help them relax and recharge.

Overall, more people are choosing closer-to-home, drive-to destinations and experience-focused trips – a trend that strongly reflects the preferences of our owners.
