The Q3 Vacation Ownership Sentiment Index is now available.
An online survey was conducted by Sports & Leisure Research Group for ARDA Research & Insights in September 2024 among a nationally representative sample of 500 U.S. based timeshare owners and 500 leisure travelers.
The monthly index is designed to provide ongoing data and insights into travel preferences and attitudes of timeshare owners versus the average leisure traveler and will serve as a helpful tool for measuring the health of the leisure travel space.

Our nationally acclaimed Consumer Optimism Barometer continues to track consumer attitudes and behavior in a Post Pandemic, yet still divided nation. March was unfortunately, the month where gloomy consumer sentiment began to catch up with leisure spending. The March Barometer also took a look at consumer sentiment regarding the state of higher education and electric vehicles. See the details below!

Our annual Trends presentation was incorporated into the NGCOA Golf Business Conference at the PGA Merchandise Show on Tuesday, January 24th and included brand new golfer and U.S. consumer research, as well as from the NGCOA’s Business Pulse Report. As always, we’ll look at the consumer mindset and state of the golf business for 2023 with a focus on equipment, facility operations, travel and participation. Results were derived from surveys and in depth interviews with active golfers and facility operators as well as numerous additional golfer research conducted by SLRG over the past twelve months.
